Frequently Asked Questions

  • What date should I RSVP by?
    Please respond by Friday, September 27th, 2024.
  • Can I RSVP online or do I have to mail in an RSVP card?
    We invite you to RSVP online or by mailing in the RSVP card sent with the invitation.
  • Are kids invited?
    Kids of all ages are welcome! We are planning to have kid-friendly activities to help entertain young guests through dinner. If your child is interested in sitting with other kids, ask us about the [adult supervised] kids' table!
  • What are the addresses of the wedding ceremony and reception venues? Are they wheelchair accessible?
    Mount Calvary Lutheran Church 301 County Road 19 Excelsior, MN 55331 Wheelchair accessible? Yes Hazeltine National Golf Course 1900 Hazeltine Blvd. Chaska, MN 55318 Wheelchair accessible? Yes The reception will be hosted in the north part of the clubhouse. Use the north doors to enter the reception area. Do not use the club members' entrance on the west side of the building. We will post signage outside of the north entrance, so you know you are entering at the correct location.
  • Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?
    The ceremony and reception will be indoors. Cocktail hour will be hosted on the outdoor patio at Hazeltine if the weather allows.
  • Will there be a time gap between your wedding ceremony and reception?
    We estimate that there will be 30 minutes between the ceremony and the beginning of Happy Hour. It is a 10 minute drive from the church to the reception venue, so you will not need to rush from one place to the next. If you arrive early to happy hour, please feel free to explore the venue but be mindful that the staff may be finishing setting up.
  • Have you reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels?
    Yes, a block of rooms has been reserved at SpringHill Suites and TownePlace Suites in Eden Prairie. Please use the reservation link to book your room or call to make a reservation. If you prefer to call, please mention the Bornmann-Walter wedding in order to receive the group rate. Be sure to book your hotel reservation by Friday, September 20th, 2024 in order to receive the group rate. After September 20th, the hotel will release any room that was not booked.   • Will there be a shuttle to and/or from the hotels?
    We are not providing any formal transportation for the events. Please plan ahead. Stay safe and default to a ride service or carpooling. For a driving service, contact Peter Miller at 612-508-2699. His rate is $60.00 per trip and accepts Venmo and Cash APP. His CRV can hold 3-4 passengers per trip. Please plan for a 30-minute wait during the reception.
  • Is there parking available near your venues?
    Both venues have free parking for guests. Hazeltine has construction onsite, so there is limited parking near the reception entrance. There will be complimentary valet service available to help navigate the parking lots. Please pull up near the reception entrance if you'd like to use valet parking.
  • Can I park my car overnight?
    Yes! We want all of our guests to be safe, so we request that you leave your cars overnight if you do not feel okay to drive. Hazeltine requests that cars be removed from the parking lot by 11 am the next morning.
  • What type of food will be served at your wedding?
    We'll be serving hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour followed by a sit-down dinner with a choice of entree.
  • Will there be an open bar?
    Yes, there will be an open bar until 10pm. At 10pm, the bar will switch to a cash bar.
  • Will there be meal options for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies?
    We will do our best to work with the chef to accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies. Please note your dietary restrictions and/or allergies on your RSVP postcard or on your online RSVP survey. Reach out to Samantha or Andrew before September 27th if you have any questions or concerns about the food options.
  • What is the dress code for your wedding?
    The dress code for our wedding is formal attire. We suggest that men wear a suit in any color or dress shirt and tie, and women wear a cocktail dress or a nice pantsuit.
  • What is the weather like in the area?
    On average, the high is mid 50s and the low is mid 40s in the middle of October. The temperature typically peaks around 3pm and then quickly drops between 6-7pm.
  • Where will wedding updates be posted?
    We will add updates to our website on the homepage. If you prefer to receive updates via email, sign-up for our email subscriptions in the page footer.
  • I have more questions about your wedding weekend, who can I contact?
